But even here, real connection has become harder to find. More of us spend time alone or with the same small circles, tucked away in our houses and online. And the apps that promise to connect us mostly serve endless swipes and surface-level matches.
That's where Kindred comes in.
Currently in development, Kindred is a language-based matching platform designed to bring people together through how they think and speak, not just what they like or look like. By analyzing linguistic patterns, Kindred will create personality snapshots that make it possible to match people with real cognitive and emotional compatibility.
Our vision: a nonprofit digital community where members can find true peers, creative partners, and lasting bonds across friendship, romance, and beyond.
And we don't want it to live only online. We're planning Kindred meet-ups too, to help community grow right here, where we live.

Our test-run for Kindred!
We're inviting you to join a trial run of a platform we're building to match people—friends, collaborators, romantic partners, and more—based on personality and deep compatibility. Our big-picture dream is a nonprofit that helps anyone, anywhere, find meaningful connection. Realistically, this first step is just a small study to see if we can spark a little of that magic.
For this pilot experiment, we're focusing only on friendship-style connections. Why? Because our test pool is small, and friendships are the easiest, least pressured type of connection to use as a baseline for testing.
Important: You are not expected to become friends with your match. Think of it as helping us collect data while also having an interesting conversation.
